How do I resize a photo to 20 KB, 50 KB or 100 KB?

Choose your JPG, PNG or WebP image, select a maximum size, and enter any required width and height. Select Resize & compress, inspect the preview, then download the JPG. The maximum is a limit: a result smaller than your chosen size is normal.

Can I resize a signature with this tool?

Yes. Select a clear image of your signature and enter the size requirements from your form. Use Keep whole image to preserve all of the ink, or Crop to fill when appropriate. The signature resizing guide explains how to keep the strokes readable.

What happens when dimensions are left on Auto?

The tool starts with the original dimensions, capped at 4,000 pixels on the longest side, and reduces them if necessary to meet the file-size limit. The final dimensions are shown. Enter both width and height if they must stay fixed.

Are KB and pixels the same thing?

No. KB measures the saved file size; pixels measure its width and height. Two images with the same pixel dimensions can have different file sizes. See KB versus pixels for examples and a checklist.

Does compression reduce image quality?

JPG compression can soften fine details. PhotoSizeKit searches for a JPG quality level that fits your limit. A very low limit or a large pixel size may require strong compression. Keep your original and check the downloaded image at its actual size.

Why is my result below the minimum size?

A simple image, such as a signature on white paper, may remain below the requested minimum even at the highest JPG quality. The tool reports that problem instead of adding filler bytes. Try a larger source or larger dimensions only if the form allows them.

Can I use PNG, WebP or HEIC files?

JPG, PNG and WebP inputs are supported, up to 20 MB and 40 million pixels. Downloads are JPG, with transparent areas replaced by white. HEIC, GIF and PDF files are not supported. Renaming a file extension does not convert its format.

Are my photos or signatures uploaded or stored?

Image processing happens in your browser. The application does not upload your images or save them in cookies or browser storage. Clearing the image or closing the tab releases the working copy; downloaded files remain on your device. Read the privacy details.

Will this make my image acceptable for every application?

Acceptance depends on the portal’s current requirements, including the background, framing, image age and allowed format. This tool checks only the file size and pixels you select. It does not remove backgrounds, verify identity or replace a live-camera requirement.
